 Emachine a great buy! October 7, 2009

I didn't buy the emachine from Amazon (I needed a computer immediately) and after looking at Walmart, and Office Depot, I finally ended up at Best Buy and was blown away with the great specs on this machine. The package was for 349.99 with a 18.5" monitor which they were out of. So for $[...] bucks more, I got a 20" Gateway which is fabulous! Setup was a breeze and we immediately downloaded Mozilla Firefox and McAfee security suite (free from Comcast) I paid almost a thousand dollars just for my HP Athlon tower without a monitor 2 years ago and this emachine for $399 WITH the 20" monitor is faster, brighter, and has lots of features. It comes with 3GB of ram and a fast Pentium processor, and a good size 7200 rpm hard drive. You should really consider this as a terrific value for most everyday use, including email, downloading tons of pictures, surfing the Internet, watching videos, burning dvd's & cd's, etc. I used to scoff at any mention of "emachine" but not anymore. This is Fantastic.

Nice computer with simple setup. Fast shipping and lower price than Best Buy. Internet explorer was very slow for about the first hour of setting up the pc because of all the updates being downloaded. Now everything is at blazing speed and mearley a click away. Very stable system.Great buy... I highly recomend this product.

I bought a new eMachines ET1831-03 desktop computer four weeks ago. Today it would not turn on and the company's customer service says I need to replace parts. What a hassle!
