Great Monitor December 2, 2008 Sand Court (St. Petes, Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Excellent monitor for a few reasons. I like the fact that it has both a VGA and a DVI-D input. Excellent clarity and color reproduction. I use it for a lot of picture editing, and it works great. Matches the clarity of much more expensive units.
Fantastic Monitor that I paid $99 for January 8, 2009 Peter J. Lobert (Columbus, Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well, for the money this is an absolutely fantastic monitor in my opinion. Staples was having a sale on it for $99 and when I got there they had two left. Lucky me! Amazon's got it for $281 and Staples is now selling it for $199. Anyway - I'm not a high end user (some digital photography work but no real video work and I'm not into high graphic games) but the colors are crystal clear and very rich, deep, and sharp. Set up was a piece of cake and as long as it doesn't go out on me after the warranty expires (like my HP did on month 13). I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this monitor.

Great monitor for the price! December 25, 2008 D. Friedman (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just picked up this monitor at another store (sorry Amazon, I found it for $99 and didn't have to wait for shipping). I figured I would write a review since I couldn't find any reviews while I was shopping. Hope this can help someone make a good choice. I have tried several LCD monitors and TV's w/ my HP tx1205 tablet pc's dock system. (12" inch screen is nice for travel, bad on the desk) The other monitors I have bought have all been returned...the most common reason was flicker. I've come to realize that apparently the flicker is caused by the computer, not so much the monitor. With that being said, I do experience a small flicker w/ this monitor, but its not the monitors fault. All in all, I can't complain. The housing is slim and stylish, I like the matte screen (no reflections) and being HDCP really is quite a lot of monitor for such a little amount of money. Emachines was even kind enough to include a VGA cable for free in the box. This comes in handy if you're buying this to hook up to a laptop and don't have a cable laying around. I wish I would've bought this monitor first...it would've saved me the $25 I spent on a VGA cable! I don't know if it is just because it is Xmas time, or if the market is starting to adjust, but I have come across a few 19" LCD monitors lately for around the same price as this one, but I haven't recognized any name brands before until this Emachines. I have owned a Gateway PC in the past (now the same company) and the minor issues I had were taken care of immediately with no questions asked (bad dvd drive). Great tech support to go along with a great price. Definitely worth it, you wont be sorry!
Great monitor! December 25, 2008 Nina M. Osier (Augusta, ME USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed a good, basic LED monitor to replace my old CRT. This is just the thing. I was able to customize its settings with minimal difficulty (excellent directions included) to correct the only problem, a somewhat washed out appearance at the default "auto" settings, and now I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
I'm a writer who works at home, and I sometimes design book covers and advertising materials. A good display matters to me, for those purposes as well as for preventing eye strain. The only thing I'd suggest as an improvement would be providing a height adjustable stand. Those seem to jack the monitor's price up enormously, though, and this one has a very good tilt adjustment capability.
